Mr Magdi Yassin MBBCh, MD, FRCSEd, FRCS (Gen)
Magdi is a consultant surgeon with a special interest in endocrine, breast & laparoscopic surgery and a senior lecturer.
As a consultant surgeon he has held senior registrar / lecturer posts at various hospitals, including Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Belfast City Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital and at the King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia. As a senior lecturer he has held positions at University of Newcastle and at Queen’s University, Belfast and with the Royal College of Surgeons as a tutor for surgery.
He is an international speaker, has been published extensively and is currently working on improving health services in a number of less developed countries.
Dr Neil Morgan
Neil is founder of Advaniti Ltd, a medical device consultancy specialising in endovascular and cardiovascular technologies, intellectual property, due diligence and manufacturing strategies.
He has over 20 years’ experience in the medtech sector both in the US and Europe. He has held posts in both start-up and mature companies operating in the medical device supply chain including Johnson & Johnson, Accellent Inc and Angiotech Inc.
Since 2007, Neil has also worked for the UK Technology Strategy Board where he has been responsible for implementing its manufacturing strategy. He is currently also contracted as its Medtech Specialist, working closely with UK start-ups, SMEs, central government departments and the NHS.
Neil is a chartered engineer and a fellow of Cranfield University.
Marcus is co-founder and chairman of FimpactT AG, a Swiss-based technology consultancy.
Marcus has also worked as external consultant to Barchester Group, a financial advisory company focusing on special situations in biotechnology and IT. His main role was to look for potential client targets outside of the UK.
Marcus has degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics and Neuroscience from Universitaet Braunschweig, UCL and Oxford University. He is co-founder and board member of the Dyslexia Research Trust.
Kathrin joined FimpactT AG in 2005 and was appointed a partner in 2009.
She is also co-founder of Hestia Investments, a company specialising in functional cosmetics and early-stage biotechnology investments.
Kathrin graduated in History and French Literature from Oxford University.
